The MAMA-1000 is the compact member of the MAMA family: a one-meter-class build volume with the same pellet and filament flexibility as the MAMA-1700. Press coverage highlights pellet throughput of up to 3 kg per hour for production-scale parts.
Modix unveiled the MAMA XL-3000, a three-meter-long pellet and filament 3D printer and the largest system in the Modix range. The announcement came as the MAMA-1700 started shipping to customers, and it set out the Modix roadmap for XXL Fused Granulate Fabrication (FGF) systems: very large parts, printed faster and at a lower material cost than filament.
Modix introduced a new line of large-format printers built on Fused Granulate Fabrication (FGF): pellet extrusion for faster, lower-cost large parts, with filament printing available on the same platform. The first model in the MAMA series is the MAMA-1700, with a 1,700 x 1,000 x 1,000 mm build volume.
